Bridging Tradition and Innovation: Smith+Nephew and Drillbone at Frejka's Days
At the XXX. Frejka's Days, a forum for young orthopaedic surgeons in Brno, we hosted a joint symposium.
It was a productive collaboration between Smith+Nephew, a traditional company with over 160 years of history, and the 4-year-old Drillbone project, which is bringing new life to transosseous techniques.
Alongside my colleague Michael Lujc, we presented on the treatment of massive rotator cuff tears and the preservation of the meniscus. Attendees also had the opportunity to try out our innovative shoulder and knee models.
